Seldom do you turn on the news and not hear stories of a teenager committing suicide or being led to violence in response to bullying, either physically or through internet social media.

In that respect, Metter is fortunate … the Candler County Community is taking proactive steps to stop bullying in all forms, especially through technological means, such as smart phones and facebook.

That’s why it is so important for parents — especially parents of students in grades 6-12 — attend Tuesday’s Anti-Bullying Program at Metter High School from 6-8 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

FBI Special Agent William Klarer will facilitate the meeting, which is being coordinated as a project through Sower Ministries of Metter.

We had a great day yesterday during our first internet ministry training session. We thank everyone for participating and encourage you to take the next steps to spread Gods word.  As we discussed in the training the Lords message must never change but our methods must.    You have everything you need to build something bigger than yourself.  The people around you know this and they are ready to follow your lead.  What is your first step???
